John Boos offers work tables with either a stainless steel base or a galvanized base, catering to different needs. The stainless steel base provides exceptional durability and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for environments where hygiene is crucial, such as commercial kitchens. Its sleek and modern appearance contributes to a professional setting. On the other hand, tables with a galvanized base feature steel coated with zinc, offering good corrosion resistance at a more budget-friendly cost. While not as resistant as stainless steel, galvanized bases are suitable for various applications, including industrial settings. The choice between the two depends on factors such as the level of corrosion resistance required, aesthetic preferences and budget considerations.

Northern Hard Rock Maple is the strongest and most dense of all species of maple. Used primarily for furniture and flooring, Northern Hard Rock Maple makes a great, affordable work table top. Blended wood surfaces offer harmonious character & provides naturally defined individuality. Blended tops consist of full length exterior rails and random finger-jointed interior rails. The rails in a blended top feature different parts of a tree, (a blend of heartwood & sapwood) hence the color variations. Natural
mineral streaks and unique wood grain patterns also add to its unique appeal.

BOWLS: 16GA or 14GA, Type 300 stainless steel. Fabricated with all welds ground and polished into a one piece sanitary bowl. All corners, both vertical and horizontal, coved at 3/4" radius to meet NSF Standards. Bottoms formed for drainage and include a 3-1/2" diameter die stamped opening.

SINK DECKS: Standard 16GA, Type 300 stainless steel (14GA is optional). Boxed backsplash is 10" high with 2" return to wall at 45 degree and down 1". Front and ends have a 1-5/8", 180 degree rolled edge. All corners are coved 1/4" radius, welded, ground and polished into a sanitary single piece.
